I find passive writing can be hard to identify in your own writing.

That's why I use the AutoCrit Editing Wizard to automatically identify this and dozens of other writing problems. Even though it's designed for fiction writers, it's still useful for my non-fiction writing.

Hope this is helpful to all you who hate grammar :-)
