Lieve Weymeis

You forgot the most important advantages! Shape buttons are the ONLY interactive objects which can be used on master slides, timed for the rest of the project. Moreover you can add them to quiz and score slides.
You can fill the shape (button) not only with solid color, but also with gradients, textures and an image. Contrary to the old legacy types of buttons (text, transparent and image) you can add custom states to shape buttons, you are not limited to the InBuilt states (Normal, Rollover, Down and Visited).
